Societal impact workshop: how can societal impact work for you and your research? (EN)

Workshop Pitch to win 2026-DvA-6885 (1)

Your research may have more relevance beyond academia than you realize. Connecting with societal challenges and stakeholders can strengthen both the impact and development of your research, while opening up new perspectives. We are here to support you in exploring these possibilities.

In this interactive workshop, you’ll explore how your research can contribute to society, who might benefit
from it, and what opportunities exist for collaboration beyond the university. Together, we’ll look at potential stakeholders, societal challenges, and ways to increase the impact of your work.

At the same time, you’ll strengthen valuable skills such as stakeholder management, communication, and entrepreneurial thinking. These skills are increasingly important both within academia and beyond, and can help you broaden your perspective on the
potential of your research and career.

You do not need a startup idea or entrepreneurial ambitions to participate. This workshop is for researchers who are curious about the broader potential of their research and want to explore what societal
impact could mean for them.

Who is it for?

  • Postdoctoral researchers
