Spacecific develops Track Your Rocket (TYR), a standalone and deployable localization system for tracking sounding rockets with high precision. TYR uses advanced Radio Frequency (RF) techniques, drawing on methods from modern communication systems and radio astronomy, to provide accurate, GPS-independent flight data across the full trajectory.
The system combines digital signal processing, phased array techniques, and embedded hardware to automate key aspects of tracking while allowing customization for specific missions. TYR is designed to operate reliably in challenging conditions, with an emphasis on accuracy and data integrity.
As a spinoff of the Radboud Radio Lab at Radboud University in Nijmegen, Spacecific applies techniques from radio astronomy to practical aerospace applications.
